Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this workshop for?
Be Your Own Superhero is a workshop designed for any woman who takes care of everyone around her and is looking to create deeper, more intentional, and more joyful experiences for herself in 2016.
What will I be doing?
You will explore and celebrate who you are and where you want to go in a safe and supportive space; gain clarity around using your unique gifts to design your best 2016; get real about potential obstacles and challenges — and how to avoid them; and arm yourself with effective self-care practices to replenish throughout the year.
Our workshops use a tried-and-true mix of teaching, circle work, responsive exercises, creative play, and self-reflection. We utilize all parts of your brain and multiple styles of learning to tap into your inner wisdom and strength.
Why use the Superhero motif?
We are in awe of the women we know and the amazing stuff that they do. And we believe all women are capable of this greatness — yes, including you.
But sometimes, we get so caught up in the busy-ness of life that we stop believing in ourselves. Or maybe we never really believed in our abilities in the first place. We want to reconnect you with your kickass self, your inner Superhero.
Developing your Superhero persona allows you to reframe beliefs about yourself and your abilities in an empowering, fun and creative way.
What should I wear?
This workshop will be really casual and will flow with the needs of the group. Please show up in the most comfortable clothes possible (like sweatpants or leggings), dress in layers so you are not too warm and not too cold. Bring your slippers if you wish.
No cape required. Unless you have one, then by all means, wear it.
